The JT successfully highlighted the wealth of engagement opportunities available for Baltimore’s young Jewish adults (“Engagement the Jewish Way,” Feb. 28). I wanted to point out that as those young adults become couples and families, our community continues to provide Jewish experiences aimed at bringing specific interest groups together with a variety of programs.
The Macks Center for Jewish Education offers Shalom Baby, a childbirth education class within a Jewish context; jOYbaby [offers] a welcome package and meeting for first-time expectant parents; and PJ Library [offers] a free gift of Jewish books and music each month for children ages 6 months to 61/2 years of age. All three programs are designed to engage new parents and families in meaningful opportunities that encourage connection and involvement in Jewish life.
