Baltimore County Public Library Virtual Event
An interactive presentation exploring key definitions of race and gender as they have shifted and evolved in the afterlife of chattel slavery. We then utilize these definitions as a foundation to examine systemic barriers to fair housing for Black women, including but not limited to disenfranchisement, misogynoir, sexual harassment and domestic violence. Presented by Dr. Kara Hunt from the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights. Registration closes one hour before the start of the program. A valid email address is needed at registration to send a Zoom link to the program 30 minutes before scheduled start.
