Disparities in our education system, including funding, school discipline, quality of resources and culturally sustaining learning environments, have created severe opportunity gaps for students of color. Farajii Muhammad, host of For the Culture with Farajii on WEAA 88.9, moderates a panel of students, educators, parents and activists in this discussion on achieving educational equity at the local and national level. Panelists include Jennifer Lynch, PhD., director of Educational Partnerships for Baltimore County; Candice Logan Washington, BCPS director of Equity and Cultural Proficiency; Sue Hahn, BCPS Parent University; and Stephanie Cooper, Project Act. Presented by Baltimore County Public Library, Baltimore County Human Relations Commission and Baltimore County Office of Diversity and Equity. Registration closes one hour before the start of the program. A valid email address is needed at registration to send a Zoom link to the program 30 minutes before scheduled start.
