Did you know there is a Challah Fairy?
She will teach us about the KEY to baking the challah you serve the Shabbat after Passover.
It is a longstanding tradition to bake challah in the shape of a key or bake a key into the challah dough the week after Passover. This is called ‘Shlissel’ Challah (Shlissel=key in Yiddish).
