Baltimore County Public Library Virtual Event
One of the essential questions in exoplanet research is whether life exists in the universe outside of Earth. Using cutting-edge telescopes and modern astronomy techniques, scientists can study the properties of planets billions of miles away and search for evidence of oxygen, water and other signs of life as we know it. Learn about the tools and techniques astronomers use to study these planets from a CAPE Science instructor and discuss some of the fascinating things we’ve discovered about them. Some math required. Registration closes one hour before the start of the program. A valid email address is needed at registration to confirm your time slot and to send a Zoom link to the program 30 minutes before scheduled start.
