Dr. David Gitlitz and Caleb Gitlitz of Beth Tfiloh Congregation performed Hagbah and Gelilah (raising the Torah up and covering it) during a June 27 minyan service. This honor is shared between two people, because if these two important tasks were carried out by only one person, the Torah could fall over without proper support.
