On Oct. 29, Blanche Berger Fierstein of Odessa, Fla., in her home at 99. She was born on Aug. 4, 1922, to Selma and Benjamin Berger in Baltimore. She married Jacob S. Fierstein in 1945. They had a food business at Belair Market in Baltimore, and later owned Todd’s Shade and Blind in Tampa, Fla. She is predeceased by husband Jacob “Jack”; brother Martin “Sonny” Berger of Baltimore; and sister Irene Rubenstein of Tampa, Fla. She leaves behind her sister-in-law Jayne Berger and nieces Sherrie (Lou), Marcie (Doug), Ellen (Mickey) and Nancy. Mother to Carl Fierstein of Tampa, Fla., Robert Fierstein of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Frank Fierstein of Southport, N.C. She was cherished by grandchildren Ben, Garrett, Lisa, and Sara; four great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law Patricia and Sam; and nieces and nephews Barbara, Harvey, Vita, Michael, Beana and Freddie.

Contributions may be sent to the Jewish Relief Fund, Hadassah, where she donated many items during her time in both Baltimore and Tampa, and the Holocaust Museum in NYC, which currently houses artifacts and memorabilia from her family that was established by Jack’s brother Ralph (Regina) Feuerstein.
