On Oct. 3, Yvette Marton Frank surrounded by family and friends at 88. She was born Feb. 24, 1933, in Paris, France, daughter of Joseph and Aranka Berger Marton. She recently celebrated the 75th year of her arrival to the United States. She gave much to the Columbia community through her memberships and volunteer work with the Jr. Womans Club, OptiMrs and Optimists Auxilliary, among other organizations. She was an avid bridge player and had a lifelong passion for gardening and plants. She is survived by daughters Aimee J. Frank, Lori F. (Mark) Taylor and Sheri F. Klein; grandchildren Morgan Taylor, Samuel Taylor (Molly Roth) and Jacob Klein; and great-granddaughter Maeve Taylor. She was predeceased by parents Aranka and Joseph Marton and son-in-law Ken Traub. The family would like to thank her devoted neighbors Laney Cohen, Dr. Eric Horst, Dr. Jaroslaw Ambroziak and countless others whose care and compassion allowed her to live independently.
