On March 4, Douglas Owen Frost in Ellicott City following a brief illness. He is survived by wife Soledad (Sole) Guerra; mother Bernyce Frost; and brother Warren Frost. He was professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and authored nearly 80 publications in developmental neuroscience. He was an expert cross-country skier and a serious mountaineer. Already fluent in French and German, he recently mastered Spanish, Sole’s native language. The couple collected indigenous Australian and Inuit art as well as European and Latin American art. They loved all styles of Latin dance, especially tango.
