Adela V. Galler, born Adela Victoria Rudel, was born on July 19, 1933, in a rural section of Argentina. She is survived by stepson Carl Galler of Largo, Fla., Adrienne Galler Lastra of Pinones, Puerto Rico, and Gabrielle Galler-Rimm of Maui, Hawaii; grandchildren Risa Kestler, Matthew Galler and Alec Galmont; and great-grandchildren Holden, Harper and Oliver. She moved to the U.S. as a young woman to work as an au pair, and later married the love of her life, her late husband, Dr. Sidney R. Galler. “Baba,” as she was known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was an ever-loving, comforting presence in the lives of Risa, Matthew and Alec. She later went on to help raise the children of two additional families. Her love for children was undeniable, and her passion for caring for them ran strong all the way up to her last days. From her passion for finding beauty in almost everything, to her adoration for reading, gardening, cooking, classical music and fine art, she lived a long and fulfilled life.
