On Jan. 3, Melvin Getz of Baltimore at 92. He is survived by wife Evelyn Getz (née Parent); daughter Ilana (David) Bittner; grandchildren Scott David Bittner and Jack Isaac Bittner; and nieces and nephews Sheryl Fleitman, Beth Fleitman and Jonathan Shelley. He was predeceased by son Gregg I. Getz; sister Vivian Fleitman; and parents Bessie and Izzy Getz.
