On Sept. 11, Earl Halpern of Arlington, Va., at 94. He is survived by daughter Janis (David) Gary; brother Michael Halpern; grandchildren Tyra (Mike) Murphy and Justin (Jeanette) Bozied; and great-grandchildren Daxton Murphy and Jack Bozied. Also survived by an uncle, numerous cousins and two nephews. He was predeceased by sister Lenore Sherman and parents Irving and Ida Halpern.
