On April 29, Dr. Jerrold “Jerry” Herman of Ann Arbor, Mich., at 77. He is survived by wife Elise Herman (née Krasnov); daughters Jennifer (Neil) Stiber and Jill (Ami) Goldfein; and grandchildren Aryeh, Esther, Tamar, Yonah and Eliana Stiber and Ilan, Nava and Asher Goldfein. He was predeceased by parents Stella and Victor Herman. He was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather. He was a lifelong naturalist with an encyclopedic memory and a love of all science and knowledge. A dentist by profession and an artist by passion, he was as skilled with a paintbrush as he was with a dental probe. He loved life and his contentment shone on his smiling face.
