Thirty-five moms gathered at the Center for Jewish Education at the Park Heights JCC for a Moms Night Out on Feb. 27. Twelve experienced mahjong players volunteered to teach the group how to play the game. The event, planned by Pikesville and Mount Washington Community Connectors Laurie Rosen, Kimberly Wynn and Someya Poverni, was so successful that some of the moms are starting their own mahjong groups. Community Connectors is a program of the CJE.
