Iris Gertz (nee Riberkof), of Hampstead, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, at the age of 92.
She is survived by her loving children, Steven (Amy) Gertz, Karen Koff, Drew (Cathy) Gertz, and Charyl Ogonowski; her sister, Sheila (late Arnold) Hyatt; by her 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Marvin Gertz.
Iris and her beloved husband, Marvin, were the proud owners of Gertz’s Cards and Gifts, a staple in the community for many years. They shared a love of dancing, often going out two to three times a week with Marvin’s cousins, filling their lives with music and joy.
Iris was known for her signature collection of pins, a personal touch that became her trademark and brought a smile to everyone who knew her.
