Isak Danon, of Pikesville, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, at the age of 95.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Leah Danon (nee Guzman); loving children, Alisa Danon (Zvi) Kaplan, Shoshana Danon-Perkins (Michael Perkins) and Joshua Danon; caring sister, Sarah Meller; and his beloved grandchildren, Sandra Kaplan, Tova Kaplan, Shira Kaplan and Bryan Kaplan.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Sandra Dannon; loving sisters, Esther (Howard) Kaidanow and Blanka Danon; caring brother-in-law, Morris Meller; and his dear parents, Joseph and Hanah Danon. Isak was a Holocaust survivor who escaped to Italy and was among approximately 1,000 people brought to the United States during the war.

He lived in an internment camp in upstate New York until the war ended. Isak will be remembered for his remarkable perseverance, enduring optimism, and deep devotion to his family and community.
