On March 1, Jeanette Golbin (née Posner) of Havre de Grace at 99. She is survived by children Arlene (Stephen) Burns and Neal Golbin; sister-in-law Charlotte Posner; grandchildren David (Jessica) Burns and Samantha Burns (Darren Stineman); and great-grandchildren Micah Philip Burns, Simone Burns, Amira Burns, Talia Stineman and Aviva Stineman. She was predeceased by her husband Philip Golbin; brothers Nathan (Florence) Posner and Sheldon Posner; and parents Sylvia and Samuel Posner.She and her husband were early members of the Harford Jewish Center, helping to create the current Adas Shalom. She was an active board member for many years. She was known and appreciated for her skillful baking, generously contributing her home-made delicacies to many events. She was a life-long Hadassah member. She was a voracious reader and champion of education. She was a long-time board member of the Havre de Grace Public Library and a major force in the creation of its new building. She served on the Ladies Auxiliary of Harford Memorial Hospital, helping to organize their book sale fundraisers.
