On Feb. 6, Dr. Jeffrey Gene Kaplan of Baltimore at 78. He is survived by wife Marie Kaplan (née Levinson); children Daniel Kaplan (Jill Green), Matthew (Katie) Kaplan and Heather Kaplan; sister Judy (Allen) Zaks; and grandchildren Zoe, Skyler, Lola, Jacob, Aliyah and Joshua Kaplan. He was predeceased by sister Jane Epstein and parents Toby and Daniel Kaplan. He was a dedicated pediatrician and medical director for over 32 years, after receiving his medical degree from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y. He helped thousands of children and their families, finishing his career in the Orthodox Jewish community of Kiryas Joel, in Orange County, N.Y.
