Kenneth J. Friedman, of White Plains, passed away on May 22 at the age of 68. He is survived by his devoted wife, Katherine Friedman (née Hess); beloved sons, Michael (Renée) Friedman, Richard Friedman and Steven Friedman; treasured mother, Anne Friedman; caring brother, Mark (Susan) Friedman; adored grandchildren, Liam Friedman and Ryan Friedman; and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his dear father, William Friedman. Ken Friedman was born in Mount Vernon, New York and raised in Eastchester, New York before attending Trinity College and later earning his law degree from Georgetown University. He went on to build a successful career as an attorney, known not only for his intelligence and dedication, but for the compassion he brought to his work. Ken generously gave his time through volunteer and pro bono legal work, including service for the Bowery Mission and the League Treatment Center, causes that remained close to his heart throughout his life. Ken was unwavering in his devotion to Kate and their three sons, Michael, Richard and Steven. He made it a priority to be present for his family, offering steady support, guidance, humor, and love in every chapter of their lives. He had a sharp wit and a wonderful sense of humor that brought warmth and laughter to those around him. In later years, one of Ken’s greatest joys was becoming a grandfather. He was deeply proud of his family and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, who he adored. His legacy is one of generosity, loyalty, intelligence, and enduring love for his family and community.
