Me Latte, the kosher coffee shop and restaurant, is expanding to downtown Baltimore, its third location.
The downtown Me Latte should open May 1, said owner Salomon Bemaras, pending a couple of final bureaucratic sign-offs. The new location is 201 N. Charles St., near the cross street of East Lexington Street.
“Our main goal is to serve the people from the building and to serve the needs of those downtown,” Bemaras said.
Me Latte currently has a location in the Owings Mills JCC and one at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, although it also caters. Each Me Latte location has a coffee and espresso bar with a variety of breakfast and lunch options. All food is kosher, but Bemaras said anyone can enjoy what Me Latte serves.
“Our food is always fresh, and [we have] a healthy menu and affordable prices,” he said.
He said the downtown location gives those keeping kosher a place where they can eat with colleagues or take a client and be able to eat as well. It will also have a small meeting room for events or meetings.
Bemaras is excited about the new location and said he thinks people will keep coming back not only for the food, but also for the service.
“Good service is hard to find,” he said. “We want people to come and be happy.”
