On Feb 20, 2018, Benjamin Joseph Leerman, beloved husband of Rosalie Leerman (née Kronsberg), cherished father of Mindy (Fred) Poorman and Craig (Kelly) Leerman, lost his battle with Alzheimer’s and passed peacefully at home in Westminster surrounded by his family. He was born June 7, 1928, to the late Ida and Joseph Leerman. His sister Bernice and brother-in-law Bernie Baden predeceased him. Ben served in the Navy during WW2 and worked for almost 40 years at Westinghouse Aerospace Division. He has always been a champion of family and neighborhood, receiving the Governor’s Certificate of Merit for Crime Prevention in 1996. Ben’s family was always his first priority. He was probably best known for his charm and wit which he spread everywhere he went. He volunteered for 15 years at Carroll Hospital Center Emergency Room. Pa, as he was known by many, was the adored grandfather of Meghann (Jeremiah) Dayhoff, Eric (Karyn) Lieberman, Stevi and John Leerman and great-grandfather of Noah, Josiah, Carter and Ethan Dayhoff and Benson Lieberman.
