Leonor Markow from Antofagasta, Chile, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 6th, 2026 in her home at the age of 75. A long battle with cancer she decided all treatment in January and was on home hospice. She is survived by her loving 4 children , Ana Rojas (Chile) Karla Rojas (Chile) Juan Carlos Rojas ( Easter Island ) and our son Alex Markow (Florida) and her loving grandchildren, Valentina Esquivel (Chile) Daniel Oyanedel (Chile) Catalina Oyanedel (Chile) Maria Esquivel (Spain) and Martin Rojas (Chile). Leonor grew up in the driest desert (The Atacama) In the world in Antofagasta Chile. She raised 3 wonderful children before she decided to visit her sister who lived in Pennsylvania . A late night unlikely chance meeting at the Bobs Big Boy Reisterstown Road and the beltway. She met me Allen Markow that night, not speaking any English and I did not know a word Spanish, her being 12 years older and of different backgrounds, everyone though that it could never work. We had over 35 awesome fun years. She worked at Owings Mills Mall until we moved to Florida 23 years ago.
