Your editorial is right on target, albeit naive. President Donald Trump makes these comments to make points with a Jewish audience, not to support Israel. His interest in Israel is to pad his resume in hopes of winning a Nobel Peace Prize. His statements opposing antisemitic activities on college campuses is to create an excuse for forcing them to kowtow to his policies. His disinterest in curbing antisemitism is proven by his support for the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, his dinner with Kanye West and Nick Fuentes, and his silence when supporters like Tucker Carlson and Lauren Boebert spew their antisemitism.
