On Feb. 15, Isabel Levinson (née Spandau) of Baltimore at 101. She is survived by sons Leo (Lynn T.) Levinson and Harlan Levinson; grandchildren Eve Levinson and Edward Levinson (Allison Zitrick); great-granddaughters Ava and Emma Levinson; and local nieces Sarah (Rick) Bernard and Elaine (Marc) Lowen. She was predeceased by husband Hyman Levinson and parents Helen and Leo Spandau. She was born in New York City and started working at 16 to support her mother until she got married at 30 and then assisted running her husband’s business ventures. After she and Hyman were married they lived in Indiana, Pa., and then Elmira, N.Y. before moving to Baltimore in 1966. She was a lifelong student and loved adventure, whether it was travel or meeting new people. She was an excellent cook and baker and loved trying new recipes. She was a volunteer at Meals on Wheels, Sinai Hospital and many Jewish organizations like Amit and Haddassah. The most important thing to her was her family.
