On Jan. 30, Dr. Norman Allen Lieberman of Arnold at 84. He is survived by wife Susanne Lieberman (née Schneider); children David C. Lieberman (Katya Lezin), Daniel S. (Lori) Lieberman and Carolyn H. Lieberman (Nicholas Serinis); brother Carl (Beth) Lieberman; and grandchildren Noah Lieberman (Leigha Vilen), Hannah, Eliza, Jessica, Jake and Jolie Lieberman and Oceana and Caden Serinis. He was predeceased by parents Lily and Joseph Lieberman. He was born in New York City, growing up in the Bronx. He went on to attend Stuyvesant High School in New York, followed by earning his bachelor’s degree at NYU, before obtaining his M.D. from New York Medical College. He also served in the U.S. army. He met his wife Susanne in the Catskill Mountains. He and Susanne were married on December 1, 1962. His career spanned 30 years. During this time he worked for Group Health Association in Washington, D.C., Hyattsville and Marlow Heights where he served as chief of the clinic. He was also an accomplished pianist and played with the Crabtowne Big Band for many years. As a member of Temple Solel, he served as president, cantorial soloist and choir director.
