On May 19, Carolyn Bess Madina (née Spitz) of Baltimore at 54. She is survived by sister Julie (Myles) Norin; mother Susan Rothblatt Spitz; father Edward Spitz and stepmother Gail Basile; stepbrothers Jonathan, Norman and Steven Basile; and nephews Jacob and Benjamin Norin. She was one who loved and cared deeply for family and cherished her friends and loved their children as though they were her own. Her creative spirit, her tremendous heart and her loving nature will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
