On Wednesday, January 14, 2015, JOAN, wife of James Becker; mother of Andrew Markman Becker and Elizabeth Markman Becker; sister in-law of Scott and Sharon Markman and MaryAnn Blocher and Tom Blocher; aunt of Leland and Alexa Markman and Krysta Blocher. Also survived by many beloved family members and friends. Interment is private. Services on Sunday, January 18 at 3 p.m. at Society Hill Synagogue, 418 Spruce St., Philadelphia. In mourning at the synagogue following the service and then at the late residence, Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. and Tuesday in Chicago at Scott and Sharon Markman’s home from 7 p.m. 9 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Breakthrough Bike Challenge, breakthrough.myevent.com, or American Jewish World Service, ajws.org.
