Pearlstone hosted members of the France-Merrick Foundation, who previously funded their on-site rain gardens. Participants planted Black-Eyed Susans, Maryland’s state flower, as part of an initiative to put native plants back into the environment. Black-Eyed Susans have deep roots that can filter rainwater and absorb runoff.
