020615_out_aboutCALL TO ACTION: Repair the World used Martin Luther King Jr. Day to focus on ways to overcome racial injustice. On Jan. 16, 50 guests took part in a Turn the Tables Shabbat dinner and dialogue at the Patterson Park Youth Sports and Education Center, with remarks from Pastor Heber Brown of Pleasant Hope Baptist Church and a performance by Maria Aldana of Neighborhood Voices. On the holiday, Repair the World hosted a service day with 12 mentors and students from the Refugee Youth Project and with 6th Branch’s community cleanup in Darley Park.
