Pamela Platt (nee Straus), of Owings Mills, passed away on Monday, June 8 at the age of 68. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Jeffrey Platt; beloved children, Michael (Channy) Platt, David Platt (Rabbi Ariel Greenberg-Platt) and Dr. Kevin (Dr. Sarah) Platt; beloved siblings, Judy (Michael) Finifter, and Alan (Lynn) Straus; cherished sibings-in-law, Marc (Julie) Platt and Wendy (Scott) Newberger; and her adored grandchildren, Elisheva, Devorah, Naphtali, Michal, Rivka, Hailey, Ian, Ellie, Jacob, and Noah Platt. She was predeceased by her parents Marion and Walter Straus. Pam Platt’s life was defined by service, leadership and love. She touched generations of people through her devotion to her Judaism, the Jewish community and most importantly to her family. From those who were inspired by her leadership to those who experienced first hand her kindness with her always smiling face and positive attitude, Pam was a pillar of strength, a source of wisdom and a wellspring of unconditional love. Yet her greatest gift was the way she made others feel-seen, cared for and uplifted. To her family and friends she was a steady source of strength and wisdom, to her community she was a trusted leader and a devoted advocate always exuding an unwavering sense of compassion. Her patients experienced her gentle touch, her warm smile and never ending engaging conversations. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she enriched. She was and always will be a true woman of valor.
