Nothing says Purim like a carnival. Or 10. Here’s a list of goings-on around Baltimore to celebrate the Purim season. Put on your favorite fuchsia wig, your wildest cape or funniest shirt, and hit the streets to celebrate Purim this year.

Ner Tamid, 6214 Pimlico Road, hosts its sixth annual pre-Purim carnival on March 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. featuring a special show by The Science Guys. Visit ner- tamid.net/pre-purim-carnival.

Jewish Federation of Howard County, 115500 Scaggsville Road, has their Purim Palooza on March 17, featuring carnival games, prizes, crafts, photo booth, face painting, an Israel Escape Room, food and more, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visit jewishhowardcounty.org.

Hinenu, 3107 N. Charles St., hosts a Family-Friendly Hinenu Purim Party on March 17. Experience puppetry, klezmer music and dancing, face painting and hamantaschen at this all-ages Purim party from 2 to 5 p.m. Visit hinenubaltimore.org.

Shomrei Emunah Congregation, 6221 Greenspring Ave., hosts its Communitywide Purim Carnival March 18 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. with games, entertainment and dinner. Visit shomreiemunah.org.

Beth Tfiloh Congregation, 3300 Old Court Road, reads the Megillah and hosts a Shushan Street Carnival on March 20 at 7:30 p.m. Visit bethtfiloh.com.

Beth Shalom Congregation, 8070 Harriet Tubman Lane, will show “Silly Symphony Players — A Mary Poppins Purim” on March 20, beginning at 7 p.m. Visit beth-shalom.net.

Harford Chabad, 418 N. Main St., Bel Air, has a Purimtini event with a Megillah reading and hors d’oeuvres at Independent Brewing Co. on March 20 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visit harfordchabad.org.

Chizuk Amuno, 8100 Stevenson Road, brings the magic to Purim with a Potter-themed Purim celebration on March 20. Hear the Megillah, followed by a Purim celebration with animal balloons, wand making, face painting and more from 6:15 to 8:45 p.m. Visit chizukamuno.org/events/potter-purim.

Chabad of Downtown Baltimore, 407 S. High St., reads the Megillah and offers light refreshments on March 20 beginning at 8 p.m. Visit bmorejewish.com.

Ariel Jewish Center, 19 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Towson, 2nd Floor, hosts 21+ Glow Purim Costume Party from 7 to 10 p.m. on March 21. Visit arielcenter.org.

Netivot Shalom, 7602 Labyrinth Road, offers a “Shushan’s Subs, Salads and Shpiel” with sub sandwiches and a shpiel by the Netivot Players on March 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. Visit netivotshalom.net.
