On June 19, Arnold “Arnie” Rosenblatt at 85. He was the husband of Marilyn Rosenblatt for over 52 years. He was a father to daughter Renee Susan (Jon) Valena and stepdaughter Wendy Wallach; grandfather to Shannon (Ian) Sharp and Ian Kraly; and great-grandfather to Cheyanna, Ashlynne and Rhylie. He was predeceased by son Alan Mark Rosenblatt; stepson Steven Wallach; brother Seymour Rosenblatt; and parents Esther and Hyman Rosenblatt. As a teenager, he joined the Merchant Marines and later the U.S. Army where he learned to drive tractor trailers. In the early 1970s, he joined Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company and was especially proud of being an EMT in charge of the ambulance. Later, he became “The Happy Traveler,” driving tour buses and party trolleys. He joined the security team for the Ravens at their stadium after he retired. In June of 1972, Hurricane Agnes flooded his family home. To honor the friends and strangers who helped, the Rosenblatts had an annual flood party to thank them.
