On May 22, Shirley S. Schwartz (née Schloss) of Pikesville at 92. She was predeceased by husband Morton Schwartz and parents Julius and Mary Schloss. Born August 14, 1928, in Baltimore, she was best known for her passion for animals. She worked briefly in a dental office and was a volunteer at Sinai Hospital. She was married to Morty for over 50 years. She loved her Papillons — Cory, Fame and Paisley. She showed these dogs (as well as many others in the past) in Obedience, Agility, and Rally events well into her 91st year. She cared for the well-being of all animals and took personal interest in feeding the wild deer and birds in her backyard. In her earlier days, she loved to dance at the Suburban Club, where she was a member, and was the life of the party. She had a “joie de vivre” and loved life. She lived her life with determination.
