On Aug. 20, Melvin A. Siegel in Geneva, Ill., at 92. He was predeceased by wife of 65 years Ann P. Siegel; sister Evelyn Holzman; and sons Robert G. Siegel and Scott E. Siegel. He is survived by daughters Diane Siegel (Theodore) Danoff and Idy Siegel (Dan) Spezzano and granddaughters Michelle Siegel Danoff, Amy Siegel Danoff, Shayla Margaret Spezzano and Rebecca Rayne Spezzano. He received his B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley. He was an executive at Olivetti Underwood and ITT before becoming the owner and C.E.O. of J&J Giftwares. After his retirement, he was an enthusiastic volunteer at SCORE, serving as a mentor for many aspiring entrepreneurs. He lived most of his life in Stamford, Conn. He was a devoted father and grandfather, an avid tennis player (playing until age 90) and a classical music aficionado.
