SIMONE ELLIN, SENIOR FEATURES REPORTER

Simone Ellin has been working in Jewish Baltimore since 1997. She has served as Girls’ Project Coordinator for Jewish Big Brother Big Sisters League, Program and Marketing Director at Jewish Museum of Maryland, and Marketing Associate for The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. Prior to that, Simone, a licensed clinical social worker, practiced psychiatric social work and psychotherapy in a variety of hospital and outpatient settings. Over the years, Simone’s articles have appeared in Style Magazine, Baltimore Magazine, Maryland Family, Baltimore’s Child, Lilith, Pregnancy, and on Exceptional Parent.com. Simone was raised in New York City. She graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Purchase and earned her master’s degree from New York University. Simone lives in Pikesville with her husband, Robert; daughter, Xandra, a junior at George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology; son, Matthew, an eighth grader at Sudbury Arts and Ideas; and Goldendoodle, Libby. The family is affiliated with Baltimore Hebrew Congregation.
