On Nov. 7, Dr. Steven Mark Smith of Baltimore from complications related to Alzheimer’s disease at 67. He is survived by wife Rosemary Quinn; children Ryan Smith, Colin Smith (Flannery McArdle) and Tara Smith; mother Francine Smith; and brother Michael (Judy) Smith. He was predeceased by father Leonard Smith. He was born in Kansas City, Mo., and raised in Levittown, Pa. He received his BA from LaSalle College, where he met his wife of 44 years. The son of a doctor, he followed in his father’s footsteps, graduating from the Philadelphia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979. He completed his residency in radiology at the Thomas Jefferson Medical College in 1984. Following residency, he moved to Maryland with his wife, Rosemary, and started his family. He most recently was a partner at Advanced Radiology. When not working, his greatest joy was spending time with his children. He even volunteered to be an assistant soccer coach for one of his children’s recreational teams despite having no knowledge of the sport.
