Susan C. Ingram has covered Baltimore County since 1999. First as a reporter, then as editor of The Community Times, Susan wrote government, business, development, health, education, crime, arts and even occasional sports stories with a focus on Reisterstown, Owings Mills, Randallstown and Pikesville, as well as national stories with a local spin. After a five-year hiatus from journalism, during which she enjoyed working at the Baltimore County Council, the Owings Mills library and Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate magazine, Susan is thrilled to be back covering the community.
An award-winning journalist, she holds a bachelor’s in arts/film from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a master’s in writing from Johns Hopkins University. Before her journalism career, she was a union film camera assistant for 20 years in Hollywood and Baltimore. She lives in Randallstown and spends her spare time reading, writing, cooking, running and taking care of two rescue cats.
