On May 18, Freda S. Sussman (née Sacki) at 95. She is survived by children Rabbi Lance J. (Liz) Sussman and Marcelle Sussman Fischler; sisters-in-law Sandy Sacki and Belle Sussman; grandchildren Benjamin (Kelly) Sussman, Joshua (Sheri) Sussman, Micah Sussman, Judah Sussman, Chana Sussman, Steven (Raina) Fischler, Danny Fischler and Jeremy (Ilanit) Fischler; and great-grandchildren Sophie and Charlotte Sussman and Ryan, Quinn and Hannah Fischler. She was predeceased by husband Charles Sussman, brother Kurt L. Sacki and parents Max and Sophie Sacki. At 12, a refugee from Nazi Germany, she traveled to America by herself. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University, became an English teacher, ran a sewing threads business, worked her way up the volunteer ladder from sisterhood to president of Temple Oheb Shalom, worked into her 80s as a travel agent, traveled the world and for the last six years enjoyed the Florida sunshine.
