On Sept. 5, Marshall Bruce “Zayde” Tanhoff at 84. He is survived by wife of 58 years Doris Tanhoff (née Kaplan); children Anne Tanhoff (Rabbi David) Greenspoon, Hope Tanhoff (Mike Pierre) and Denise Tanhoff (Dan) Moldover; and grandchildren Miles Greenspoon, Micah Greenspoon, Adam Moldover, Ethan Goldberg, Sarah Moldover and Carly Goldberg. He was predeceased by parents Yetta and Jack Tanhoff and sister Gayle Teegarden. He was a veteran of The United States Marine Corps, having served 10 years. Following his service, he was an entrepreneur, owning a variety of successful retail businesses in Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. In his retirement, he volunteered at the Baltimore VA Medical Center and for the Jewish National Fund, though his proudest work was as “Chief Money Counter” at the Beth Israel Randallstown Purim Carnival each year.
