Born in Baltimore in 1968 to David and Myrna Tenser, Beth grew up in the Colonial Village neighborhood, attended Pikesville High School and then earned her bachelor’s degree from Elmira College in upstate New York. After college, she went on to earn her master’s degree in graphic design from Adelphi University. She began her career in graphic design with the unique job of restoring vintage comic books. At one point, she was given the task of restoring the very first Superman comic book. Following her work in the comic book industry, she moved back to Baltimore and took a position as a graphic designer for Bond Distributing, where she worked for 14 years. Prior to working with the company, they outsourced all of their graphic design work. However, with Beth’s hiring, they began to produce all of their graphic design work in-house. As part of her duties with Bond Distributing, she was responsible for all the beer- and liquor-related advertisements at both Oriole Park and M&T Bank Stadiums. As part of her job, she most enjoyed connecting with clients, her photography and snapping action photos of all the athletes.

In addition to her career accomplishments, Beth greatly enjoyed singing, at one point being invited to sing the National Anthem at Oriole Park. She also enjoyed design, photography, the arts and theater. She even participated for seven years in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, wearing various outfits to entertain the public. In addition to her personal interests, Beth is also responsible for creating the charitable organization Brananza, which was founded in order to help survivors of cancer.
