On February 26, Uri Feldman of Columbia at 87. He is survived by his sons Doron (Debbie) Feldman, Ronen (Kim) Feldman and Tomer (Shelley) Feldman; sisters Nitza (itzik) Itzkovitz and Aliza (Meier) Sternfeld; sister-in-law Erela Israelit; and grandchildren Lesshi, Daniel, Jacob, Sam, Ariel, Naomi (fiance Grant Johnson), Talia, Erin and Leah. He was predeceased by wife Dalia Feldman (née Israelit), and parents Shoshana and Chiam Feldman. He devoted his life first and foremost to his wife Dalia, his sons, daughters in-law, his eight grandchildren, his sisters, brother in-laws and extended family living in Israel. He was a world-renowned physicist. He built the Wise Observatory in the Negev desert, worked for Tel Aviv University, NASA and the US Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC. In his career he published more then 500 scientific articles in referenced journals. While not working, he spent his time tutoring his eight grandchildren in math and physics. He lived a simple, integrity-filled life who will be remembered as a great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family.
