Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who served in the position from 2006-09, visited the area in October to speak at a Jewish National Fund-USA donor appreciation event at Grey Rock Mansion in Pikesville. Author of “Searching for Peace: A Memoir of Israel,” Olmert also spoke about how as former mayor of Jerusalem, he worked to improve the city’s infrastructure, education and welfare systems.
