On Sept. 10, Estelle Waxman (née Blumenthal) of Baltimore at 87. She is survived by husband of 65 years Martin Waxman; children Michele Waxman (Paul) Johnson, Jamie (Anthony) Freedman and Robert (Larisa) Waxman; and grandchildren Jessica Johnson, Josh Johnson, Allyson Freedman, Daniel Freedman, Gershon (Rivka) Waxman, Eli Waxman and Miriam Waxman. She was predeceased by parents Sara and Lazarus Blumenthal; sisters Mary Smith and Beatrice Weiner; and brother Jacob Blumenthal. She worked as an administrative assistant for a medical practice and later for the Baltimore office of the American Diabetes Association. She loved to travel. When they could, she enjoyed a
long weekend on Broadway, taking in the great musicals, dramas and comedies. She enjoyed every moment of her life until, all too soon, she was attacked by a rare, terrible neurological disease, cortico-basal degeneration. She dealt with it for 15 years until it wore her down.
