On May 10, Irving Abramowitz in Jerusalem, Israel, at 95. He is survived by wife of 70 years Grace and children Debbie (Bobby) Miller, Benson (Heddy) Abramowitz, Alan (Janet) Abramowitz and Carol (Steve) Rosenbaum. In addition he was survived by 17 grandchildren and more than 40 (we do not say the exact number) great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Rabbi A. Nathan (Dr. Barbara) Abramowitz of Washington, D.C., Dr. Harry Zvi (late Gilda) Abramowitz of Jerusalem and sister Bonnie (late Gabe) Kaszovitz. He was predeceased by parents Frieda and J. Max Abramowitz and granddaughter Talia Zwebner. He was born in Baltimore and attended the Talmudical Academy. He graduated from City College and was drafted at 18 into the army during WW2. He attended Johns Hopkins University and followed his father into the insurance industry. He had a successful career with Lincoln National Life Insurance Company and realized his lifelong dream of moving to the Old City of Jerusalem in 1983. He will be missed by all who knew him. May his memory be for a blessing always.
