On July 26, Jeffrey Katz of Baltimore at 76. He is survived by wife Barbara E. Katz (née Krupa); siblings Melvin (Myra) Katz and Linda Cohen (Glenn Kotelchuck); and nieces Sandy Cardeman, Holly Sutton and Jessica Layman. He was predeceased by parents Evelyn and Allan Katz. He was a proud Vietnam veteran, where he served with the Marine Corps as a Navy corpsman. After his military service, he became the administrative director of respiratory medicine at GBMC where he specialized in neonatal and ICU respiratory therapy. Additionally, he helped to create GBMC’s first diversified services, became the founder and CEO of Phoenix Medical (national sales for SIDS kids respiratory devices), worked in respiratory therapy at Mercy Medical Center and served on the Board of COAPTEC. He loved his work and wanted to be remembered for saving lives.
