On March 25, Michael Alan Dinkin of Silver Spring at 69. He is survived by sons Jesse and Malachi Dinkin; sister Lee Anne Dinkin and brothers Garry (Nelia) Dinkin and Daniel (Jodi) Dinkin; parents-in-law Samuel and Barbara Goldberg; siblings-in-law Robert (Heidi) Goldberg, Thomas (Linda) Goldberg, Margaret Goldberg and Michael (Leslie) Goldberg; and 13 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife Karen Goldberg; parents Raymond and Mildred Dinkin; and brother-in-law Bernard Fields. He was born in Neptune, New Jersey, on Nov. 2, 1954. He moved to Baltimore with his parents at age 4. He is a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and the University of Maryland and earned his MBA from University of Virginia Darden School of Business. His professional and personal life involved fair housing, farmland preservation, environmental protection and intramural athletics. His devotion to these causes was expressed by an entire career in nonprofit pursuits. His greatest accomplishment and deepest satisfaction was realized in the raising of his two young sons after Karen’s passing.
