The Maryland Office of the Public Defender celebrated its 50th anniversary this year with a gala hosted by the Association for the Public Defender of Maryland and Maryland State Bar Association. The event honored the position’s history since it was created in 1972, as well as current Public Defender Natasha Dartigue.
