“I’ll Have What She’s Having”: The Jewish Deli
Join the BZD and New-York Historical Society for a free online event examining how Jewish immigrants, mostly from Central and Eastern Europe, imported and adapted traditions to create a unique American restaurant and how Jewish delis became a mainstay. Uncover Israel at 75: People and Places of the Past
Embark on a journey through Israel’s 75-year history with The Associated’s Insight Israel Forum, guided by Shai Nahon, who has been a certified tour guide for the past nine years. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions for the interactive sessions, which will explore key people, places or ideas that helped shape Israel’s history. Future session dates include Feb. 20 and 22; and March 21 and 22. This free online event is open to all. “The U.S. and the Holocaust”: Screening and Discussion
Attendees will see the screening reel of this series, which includes excerpts from each episode. This will be followed immediately by a panel discussion on the themes in the film and education about local resources from community partners.
