On Dec. 9, Rose Insel of Brooklyn, New York, at 96. She is survived by children Rabbi Nissan (Brina) Insel, Dr. Jerald (Suzanne) Insel, Rabbi Yosef (Shulamis) Insel and Beverly Insel; and many grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Insel and parents Sol and Gussie Gewirtzman.
