On Sept. 10, Sandra “Sandy” Guthorn (née Minch) of Baltimore at 70. She is survived by husband Lester B. Guthorn; children Megan (Joshua) Schermer, Harrison (Meghan Ryan) Guthorn and Benjamin Guthorn; brother Dr. Robert (Julie) Minch; grandchildren Alexa Schermer, Zachary Schermer and Rose Guthorn; cousin Harry Legum; and many loyal and longtime friends. She was predeceased by parents June and Stanley Minch and sister Dr. Sally Kane. She protected and cherished her family. She provided her family with strong Jewish values that were reflected in her generosity of heart and keen intellect. A force of nature in advocating for her beliefs and those she cared for, she lived with intention and intensity. She earned the respect of her peers, family, friends and community through her tenacity and compassion. For 30 years, she was an expert in the field of energy law, negotiating and litigating to ensure that the voice of the consumer was heard and respected. In all things she took the role of protector and advocate. She was and remains a blessing to all who know and love her.
